Our Barbican
The City of York Council is destroying York's largest community leisure complex, which was built only 16 years ago. York Barbican Centre houses the largest concert hall in York. It had two swimming pools, badminton courts, a gym, climbing wall and an outdoor bowling green.
Now City of York Councillors want to flog it all off for more grubby hotels and more private flats, looming five storeys high next to York City Walls. We need you to get involved and stop this madness.
